I am pleased to write a letter of recommendation for Lisa Sheek whom I have known since 2003.

I worked with Lisa when she was Food and Beverage Manager for the Comfort Inn Oceanfront Hotel in Jacksonville Beach, FL.  She was responsible for all special event banquet functions and the hotel’s cafe and bar.  She managed and supervised all menu planning, food production, inventory and staff supervision.  Lisa brought high standards to the hotel, having come with experience at top-level hotels and her own restaurant, and executed her job with precision and excellence.  Clients commented that the food quality and presentation were outstanding!  She introduced sophistication to the Food and Beverage Department.  Lisa has excellent long-range planning and budgeting skills.  She also managed her staff extremely well.  She is able to make tough decisions that result in cost savings and is fair-minded.

After she left the hotel, Lisa continued catering and I have been privileged to attend many of the events that she catered.  In every case, the events are beautiful in presentation and in quality.  Due to her budgeting skills, Lisa is able to offer a wide-variety of high-quality foods for an economical price.  I attended several catered events that she did in the St. Augustine, Florida area, one of which was a reunion of the high school there.  The buffet she created was stunningly beautiful with an abundance of food that the patrons were very impressed with.  She took time to prepare a beloved regional dish, Perlo, for the group and they were so impressed that she would take the time to make it and pronounced it “the best.”

I hired Lisa to cater the Christmas Party for the City Rescue Mission, Jacksonville, Florida.  The staff was delighted with the quality of the food, the beautiful presentation, and the class she brought to the event.  They didn’t know that Lissa and staff had to overcome severe power outages in the building while preparing the dinner.  She was creative in finding ways to meet the deadline and was gracious in the face of adversity.

I highly recommend Lisa Sheek!  She is the most honest and hard-working professional I have ever worked with.  I know that when she accepts a job she will perform it will excellence.  Lisa has a delightful personality and will represent you well with grace, style and class.  You cannot go wrong in hiring Lisa!

Please let this letter serve as a reference for Lisa Sheek.  I have known Lisa in a professional capacity for the last seven years.  Lisa is both professionally outstanding in her field and socially poised and well-rounded.  Her tremendous ability to easily relate to anyone in any situation in quite an asset for anyone, particularly those who deal with the public.

Lisa’s culinary experience ranges from catering many types of meals for events numbering in the hundreds to donating her time to feed the elderly who are on a budget.  Lisa worked for me as a Food and Beverage Director where she had responsibility for thousands of dollars of food and alcohol inventory and non-stop catering for groups and events.  This was in addition to overseeing a busy restaurant and beach – front bar.  She developed menus, did catering sales and both trained, hired and fired employees.  Her sales abilities were outstanding and she increased food and beverage revenues tremendously.

I found Lisa to be conscientious, responsible, honest to a fault and always ready to go the extra mile to help others whenever she is able.  She is a true team player and is always thinking ahead to be sure all bases are covered.

Lisa would be a tremendous asset for any company in any position for which she is qualified.  I am happy to vouch for Lisa both personally and professionally.  Her character, work ethic and abilities are impeccable.
